Our events aim to create opportunities for people to meet, share stories, and strengthen the vibrant queer life of our region.

Rainbow Families Illawarra hosts monthly catch‑ups for LGBTQIA+ parents, carers and their children, held at different family‑friendly locations across the Illawarra. These gatherings are a welcoming space to meet other rainbow families, build friendships and create community connections.

🌟 Queers Down South — Regular Social Events
Queers Down South runs regular small‑group social events, both in‑person and online, offering relaxed, low‑pressure ways for LGBTQIA+ people and allies to connect. Activities range from coffee catch‑ups to walks, creative sessions and online chats, helping people across the South Coast find their people and feel at home in community.

🌟 Illawarra Shoalhaven Gender Alliance — TAFFI Festival
The Illawarra Shoalhaven Gender Alliance (ISGA) supports trans and gender diverse communities across the region and runs the TAFFI Festival annually — a celebration of trans, agender, fluid, femme, intersex and gender‑diverse identities. The festival brings together community, art, education and visibility initiatives.
